Living in our new homes in Queniborough comes with an abundance of leisure options.

Just a 15-minute walk away is the village centre – home to convenience stores, a post office, news agents, and a hairdresser. It’s the perfect place to pick up everyday essentials and enjoy a little self-care. Award-winning traditional butchers, Clarkes of Queniborough, are also less than a mile away and are renowned for their homemade pork pies and locally sourced produce.

Welcoming venues such as The Horse & Groom and The Britannia Inn serve drinks and traditional, hearty meals, while providing a friendly space to meet locals and make friends.

Looking for the perfect place for a relaxing day outdoors? You can find Watermead Country Park near Birstall, with our new homes just an 8-minute drive from this beautiful nature reserve filled with lakes, wildlife, sculpture trails, and walking routes. And, for scenic adventures through fields and meadows, Queniborough Brook footpaths offer peaceful walks right on your doorstep.

Half a mile away, around a 15-minute walk, is King George V Playing Field; a popular green space with a playground, sports pitches, and picnic areas for the whole family to enjoy.

Highcross shopping centre is also a 25-minute drive and boasts over 100 stores, along with 40 cafes and restaurants, and a 12-screen cinema.

One of the many advantages of living in Queniborough is the variety of well-known attractions within easy reach.

The National Space Centre can be found close to our new homes in the Birstall area and offers something for everyone. Families can enjoy hands-on exhibits and interactive learning, while curious minds and explorers will be inspired by the UK’s largest planetarium and impressive rocket tower.

For sports fans, the King Power Stadium is around a 30-minute drive away and is the base for Leicester City Football Club. Alongside football matches throughout the year, the stadium also offers behind-the-scenes tours for avid Leicester City FC supporters.

The Curve Theatre hosts plenty of theatre productions year-round. Unlike other theatres, Curve doesn’t have a traditional backstage area. Instead, audiences can ‘peek behind the curtain’ at the rehearsal process and performances, providing a more well-rounded theatre experience.

Around 10 miles away from our new homes in Queniborough, the Melton Mowbray markets run twice a week and are famous for their pork pies, Stilton cheese, and other local produce.

Our Queniborough new builds benefit from strong transport routes for anyone looking to commute or venture further afield.

The nearby A46 connects to the M1 and M42, allowing straightforward regional travel and easy access to the A607, which links Leicester and Melton Mowbray.

Syston railway station is just 2.5 miles away, offering regular services to Leicester and connections to Nottingham, London, and other major cities. Local bus routes, including the 5, 5A, and X5, also serve Queniborough and surrounding areas.

Planning your next holiday abroad? East Midlands Airport is around 20 miles from the development and offers both UK-wide and international flights.

For families with children, our new build homes in Queniborough are close to plenty of great education options for all ages.

Queniborough Church of England Primary School is a popular choice among locals with a strong reputation for supporting young learners.

For secondary education, both Wreake Valley Academy and Roundhill Academy are highly regarded schools located in neighbouring Syston, just a short distance away from our Queniborough development.

Children and teens with an interest in performing arts can also attend Stagecoach Performing Arts school in nearby Melton Mowbray, which offers classes and tutoring in music, theatre, dance, and more.

For post-16 education, Gateway College, City of Leicester College, and Melton Vale Sixth Form provide a wide range of A Level and BTEC courses across a variety of subjects.

For those considering higher education, Loughborough University and De Montfort University are both within a 20-minute drive, making them ideal options for students who wish to stay close to home while studying.
